Happy New Year!!!!

Wow!!! This year has flown by. It was a great year. I learned lots of new crafty tricks, made lots of new friends, and started what I feel is a very worthwhile team at my sons' school. Needless to say this has kept me very busy. Unfortunately that has left me little time to share my projects with you. For the new year, one of my resolutions is to post on my blog at least once a week. My sweet hubby got me a sewing machine for Christmas so I plan to have lots of sewing projects as well as my papercrafting projects.

For now, enjoy these pics of a swap I was in online. It was a 12 days of Christmas swap and I had to make something for each verse of the song based on my interpretation. It was lots of fun!!! Enjoy!

Blessings to you and your family,

Jennifer

My Pink Stamper Design Team Call

I am entering the MPS Design Team Call and I'm sooooooooooo excited!!!! The challenge was to make a card, scrapbook layout or other Cricut project using my favorite cricut cartridge and the colors: brown, green, turquoise, orange and an optional color of my choice. Here is what I came up with:

Ingredients:

DCWV Indian Summer Fall Stack patterened paper

DCWV Flower Shower Spring Cardstock Stack

DCWV Flower Shower Spring Glitter Matstack

Animal Kindgom Cricut Cartridge

Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge

Stampin Up Dimensionals, Zig 2 way glue pen, ATG Gun

DCWV All Dressed Up Silver Glitter Rub on Alphabet

Gelly Roll Clear Star pen

Bone Folder

Michael's Brand ribbon

Black Diamond Stickles

Paper Shapers Scallop Square 1 3/4"

Cricut Expression, E2, Create, or Imagine ( I used my new E2)

First let me say I'm no chicken expert, but I thought the cut labeled chicken in the Animal Kingdom book looked more like a rooster and vice versa. I think he's the cutest, most colorful rooster I've seen. He just cheers you up!!!!!

I used the Animal Kingdom cartridge to cut the full body chicken out of each patterened paper and black paper at 4". The shift feature of the chicken was used with the brown, turquoise and green patterned paper again cut at 4". I just cut the parts I wanted out of each of the papers and layered them. The feathers from his tail are done the same way as well as his feet. I used a stampin dimensional to pop up the wing on his body. His eyes are Black Diamond Stickles. I used plum cardstock from the flower shower stack to cut the cockadoodledoo at 1 inch using the Sound feature. I used Mickey Font to cut the letters "i", "n" and "?" at 1/2 inch to match the cockadoodledoo. I tied a bow around him using some Michaels ribbon in turquoise with a green polka dot. The solid green and plum paper are from the Flower Shower stack. The turquoise glitter paper is from the Flower Shower glitter matstack. My color of choice was plum. I used DCWV rub-on letters for the "how are you" and a Paper Shapers 1 3/4" square scallop punch with some scrap orange cardstock I had on hand. I had to use my stampin dimensionals again to pop up the scallop square. I was so excited about my cute little saying. Robyn, we need a stamp with "How Are You Cockadoodledoin?" on it!!!!!! I just love it!!!! Next I used a piece of greet textured cardstock from the Flower shower stack and measured and cut it at 5 1/2" x 11". I then scored it at 5 1/2" using my bone folder. I cut a 1" strip of patterened paper for the middle of the card, and the turquoise glitter mat stack is cut at 2 1/2". I did outline the feathers, wing, and scallop square using my clear star pen. If you want a sparkle without color this is a MUST HAVE!!!! It is beutiful over ink as well. It just adds that perfect shimmer. I left the inside blank because this could be a card for a friend you've lost touch with and may have a lot to say to them. It could also be used as a get well card. The saying is very versatile. I hope you enjoy. Good luck everyone!!!!!

Robyn,
You have inspired me to be the crafter I am today thanks to your tutorials and blog!!!! Thank you for the time you take to make these videos for us. Thank you for such great products!!! Can't wait to see what you have for us in the future.

Happy Crafting,

Scrapbook layouts

Hi everyone,

It's been a crazy end of the school year and first of summer!!!! We are now waiting on a new AC unit!!! I have been thinking about my crafting addiction. So many of my friends comment on wishing they could scrapbook but don't know how to get started. Some don't have any interest but wish someone would do it for them. And some simply don't have the time to devote to it. I am going to start making layouts for scrapbooks. I can do custom layouts for a certain theme or general themes and you add the pictures. Obviously these take time so if you have a certain event you want to get a scrapbook for, please allow plenty of time. It's time to start thinking of Christmas presents!!!! Please contact me if you are interested in this service. I'll have some layouts and prices coming soon. Have a great 4th of July weekend!!!

My Pink Stamper Challenge #8

The My Pink Stamper NSD Challenge #8 is a summer themed project. I was so glad to be able to work on this project. I just bought beach towels at Marshalls on Thursday to give to my sons teachers for the end of the year gift. I was trying to think of what to put with them. I bought a few clear plastic insulated tumblers with lids at Ross about 2 weeks ago just to have on hand to personalize. What a perfect match!!!! I used Straight from the Nest and cut flowers at 2 1/2" in the vinyl to match the flowers on the beach towel. Then I got out my new E2!!!! and used the Cricut American Alphabet for the initial. I love the new E2!!!!!! Voila!!!! Instant pool or beach ready gift. Thanks again My Pink Stamper for the awesome give aways today!!!!!

My Pink Stamper Challenge #3

Hi Everyone,

I am entering some of My Pink Stamper's NSD challenges. Here is the first one I am doing. This challenge was to make something with a Breast Cancer Theme. I chose the cute little panda from Create A Critter in a fashionable hot pink. He is cut at 3". I used a punch for the 3D flower and just punched in different shades of pink and layered them. The stamp is from one of the first My Pink Stamper Stamp sets, Everyday Occasions. The pink ribbon on the panda is also a stamp from the same set. Thank you My Pink Stamper and Monique Griffith for the great give away for this challenge!!!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Today I am celebrating 10 years with my sweet hubby. We don't have any fancy plans for today, but I did want to make him a special card in honor of our special day. The stamp is a Rachelle Miller stamp. I wish she would make a series with these cute little frogs!!!!

I will post step by step on this card later. Notice the cute little bow that says Kiss Me. I thought that was appropriate with the cute little frogs. Hope you are having a great day!!!!

Check out this balloon my hubby found!!! I guess he has learned something after 10 years of living with me. LOL!!!!! He's the BEST!!!!

Valentine's Treats

So here are the finished pinwheels for my two sons' classes. They all loved them. We decided to give the girls the heart paper and came up with a blue paper for the boys. They were a hit!!!

Wedding Card

Here is a wedding card I made this morning. I didn't have much time to deliberate on how I was going to make it but I think it turned out well. The heart and "Happily Ever After" were cut from Storybook at 2".

Pinwheel instructions

Here are the instructions for making a pinwheel. This is super easy!!!! Have fun creating. There is also a pinwheel on the Mother's Day cricut cartridge from last year.

4"x 4" piece of double sided card stock

Adhesive

brad

Score the cardstock on the diagonal making an "x".

Cut the "x" leaving about 1/4" in the middle. DO NOT CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH

Apply adhesive to very center of paper.

Take one edge and fold to middle. Whichever direction you choose, keep it the same on each cut section. Apply adhesive to middle after each fold.

The center can be decorated as desired. I used a brad which re-enforced holding that middle section. I use my cricut dental pick to pierce a hole in the middle of the pin wheel so I can easily place the brad.

*** You can adjust the size of the card stock to whatever project you are doing. Just make sure you have a square. ***
Feel free to email with any questions.

Happy Crafting!!!!

New friends and lots of laughs

Hi Everyone,
I am going to say again what a great time I had this past weekend at Camp Crop Alot in Americus. If you have never been to this retreat I urge you to get online and find a weekend to go. It is a great value and lots of fun!!! Get your girlfriends together and plan your trip now. I met lots of new friends and enjoyed time with old ones too. My new friends wanted to know how to make the sour cream treat containers they have seen on my blog. Being the great friend I am, I obliged. Well, when I returned from shopping, this was at my crop space. This was their version of the sour cream treat container. I love it!!!! So many laughs and great memories were made. Love you girls!!!!!

Camp Crop A Lot

Hi Everyone,

I am having the best time at my first scrapbooking get-a-way!!!! Not much sleep going on, but loads of laughter and good times. We did a round robin tonight. You had to have pictures for a 2 page layout. They needed to already be matted and on 12 x 12 paper. Then you wrote a brief description of what the event was, when, who, etc.... After passing our layouts to the left so that all 10 of us got to put our own touches on them, this is how mine turned out!!!! I love it. This is my oldest, Tucker when he was about 2 years old. In the first one, he is one Cool Dude!!! In the next page he had gotten into oreo cookies and then tried to help his Dad with some handywork. I absolutely love the personal touches these ladies added to my pages!!!
Check out the oreo cookies!!!! Too cute. Have a great weekend.
