My Pink Stamper Design Team Call

I am entering the MPS Design Team Call and I'm sooooooooooo excited!!!! The challenge was to make a card, scrapbook layout or other Cricut project using my favorite cricut cartridge and the colors: brown, green, turquoise, orange and an optional color of my choice. Here is what I came up with:

Ingredients:

DCWV Indian Summer Fall Stack patterened paper

DCWV Flower Shower Spring Cardstock Stack

DCWV Flower Shower Spring Glitter Matstack

Animal Kindgom Cricut Cartridge

Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge

Stampin Up Dimensionals, Zig 2 way glue pen, ATG Gun

DCWV All Dressed Up Silver Glitter Rub on Alphabet

Gelly Roll Clear Star pen

Bone Folder

Michael's Brand ribbon

Black Diamond Stickles

Paper Shapers Scallop Square 1 3/4"

Cricut Expression, E2, Create, or Imagine ( I used my new E2)

First let me say I'm no chicken expert, but I thought the cut labeled chicken in the Animal Kingdom book looked more like a rooster and vice versa. I think he's the cutest, most colorful rooster I've seen. He just cheers you up!!!!!

I used the Animal Kingdom cartridge to cut the full body chicken out of each patterened paper and black paper at 4". The shift feature of the chicken was used with the brown, turquoise and green patterned paper again cut at 4". I just cut the parts I wanted out of each of the papers and layered them. The feathers from his tail are done the same way as well as his feet. I used a stampin dimensional to pop up the wing on his body. His eyes are Black Diamond Stickles. I used plum cardstock from the flower shower stack to cut the cockadoodledoo at 1 inch using the Sound feature. I used Mickey Font to cut the letters "i", "n" and "?" at 1/2 inch to match the cockadoodledoo. I tied a bow around him using some Michaels ribbon in turquoise with a green polka dot. The solid green and plum paper are from the Flower Shower stack. The turquoise glitter paper is from the Flower Shower glitter matstack. My color of choice was plum. I used DCWV rub-on letters for the "how are you" and a Paper Shapers 1 3/4" square scallop punch with some scrap orange cardstock I had on hand. I had to use my stampin dimensionals again to pop up the scallop square. I was so excited about my cute little saying. Robyn, we need a stamp with "How Are You Cockadoodledoin?" on it!!!!!! I just love it!!!! Next I used a piece of greet textured cardstock from the Flower shower stack and measured and cut it at 5 1/2" x 11". I then scored it at 5 1/2" using my bone folder. I cut a 1" strip of patterened paper for the middle of the card, and the turquoise glitter mat stack is cut at 2 1/2". I did outline the feathers, wing, and scallop square using my clear star pen. If you want a sparkle without color this is a MUST HAVE!!!! It is beutiful over ink as well. It just adds that perfect shimmer. I left the inside blank because this could be a card for a friend you've lost touch with and may have a lot to say to them. It could also be used as a get well card. The saying is very versatile. I hope you enjoy. Good luck everyone!!!!!
